Internationally renowned artist Moby has recently released his latest album Reprise. The album, which is available for streaming across all major platforms, sees the artist revisiting and reimagining musical highlights from his 30-year career.
On Reprise Moby has, together with the Budapest Art Orchestra, re-envisioned some of his most recognisable rave classics and anthems with new arrangements for orchestra and acoustic instruments. Tracks include his breakthrough dance track Go, as well as Porcelain, Extreme Ways and Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad?
Speaking about the album ahead of its release, Moby said: ‘Sorry if this seems self-evident, but for me the main purpose of music is to communicate emotion. To share some aspect of the human condition with whoever might be listening.’
Why include an orchestra? ‘I long for the simplicity and vulnerability you can get with acoustic or classical music,’ he explains.
