
The Gauteng Film Commission’s (GFC) Africa Month Commemorative celebration aims to create a platform for the creative industries, communities and the continent at large to develop and showcase their creative talent. The Gauteng Film Commission will collaborate with the Gauteng Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation on various cultural celebrations to raise awareness of South Africa and Africa’s cultural heritage. The commemorative event will also acknowledge sharing from indigenous knowledge to the entrepreneurial skills that artists require in order to make their profession profitable and sustainable. The objectives of Africa Month and its principal activity is that of providing comprehensive informative and recreational opportunities for the promotion of the arts.
