With change comes opportunity

Globally, the COVID-19 pandemic is causing us to rapidly adapt to a changing environment that is seeing so many staying indoors either due to social distancing or enforced lock-down.

Creative Feel has now had to join the long list of ‘changes’ with our upcoming issue(s) being postponed. Just about every partnership we had in place for our next magazine has been postponed or cancelled. We simply have no way of getting a magazine out there without support from sponsors and advertisers.
We have always shown as many exciting artists as possible on our pages. Some of today’s top, world-renowned artists had their first exposure in Creative Feel, and we are proud of this.
After nearly 20 years of publishing the magazine, it is a hard decision to make, but with change comes opportunity and Creative Feel will continue to thrive in the time of COVID-19 and beyond.
South African creatives are finding wonderful and innovative ways to continue showcasing arts, culture and heritage. For example, the National Arts Festival has decided to go virtual this year, and some art galleries have put up virtual exhibitions.
To celebrate this innovation, and encourage more of it, Creative Feel has set up a portal on our existing website that allows these creative spaces to stay open to the virtual public through live streams, live events and forums
Through ticketing and donations, these virtual events can bring in much needed income for these spaces and for the artists.
This interactive new space has been launched here: Please visit this portal and join us in celebrating this wonderful space of creativity while we all try to support each other.
Your support of this new platform will enable us, the Creative Feel team, to dedicate the time and resources required to make it a platform filled with vibrant and thriving activity from South Africa’s artists.
     Please stay safe.
