Commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Sharpeville Massacre

Sixty years ago, on 21 March 1960, brave South Africans gathered in Sharpeville to peacefully protested against the racist pass laws of the apartheid regime. The police responded brutally by opening fire on the unarmed protestors. 69 people were killed!
Today, with these scenes from Videovision Entertainment‘s film MANDELA: LONGWALK TO FREEDOM, we remember these brave men and women who lost their lives in a bid for dignity and freedom.
