Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra Spring Season 2019

Following a successful Early Spring Season, the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra (JPO) are pleased to provide you with details for the forthcoming Spring Season, which will open with the much anticipated annual Joint Concert of the Johannesburg and KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestras on Wednesday 23 October. Concerts will be held each Wednesday and Thursday evening at 19:30, for four consecutive weeks at the Linder Auditorium in Parktown, with additional Friday morning concerts taking place during the first and last week of the Spring Season at 11:00.
     The JPO podium will be graced by established maestros Wolfram Christ, Daniel Boico, Roderick Cox and Conrad van Alphen. The season’s soloist roster includes a number of new-generation stars: award-winning pianists Dmitry Sishkin and Antonio Chen Guan, ace British trumpeter Mathilda Lloyd, soprano Linda Nteleza and bass Njabulo Mthimkhulu.
