Two South African tenors present Spanish and Italian treasures

Casta Diva presents two amazingly talented, devoted and aspiring young tenors, Ndima Richard Ndzombane and Kagiso Boroko. They will be taking you on a musical tour of various musical treasures, including some famous arias, and popular classics all the way from Mexico, Spain and Italy.

This will be a night to remember: passionate renderings of beautiful music that will take you to many places; soothing voices; delicious food; and excellent service. 
     Ndima Richard Ndzombane was born and raised in Port Elizabeth. His musical journey started at a young age. In high school, he was a member of the school choir and represented Gauteng in 2002 at the National School Competitions. 
     Ndzombane enrolled at the Tshwane University of Technology to study Vocal Arts, majoring in performance. During this period, he was part of various student productions, such as Verdi’s Un Giorno di Regno and Handel’s Messiah.
     Since graduating, he has performed in Opera Africa’s productions of Princess Magogo, which travelled through Europe; I Capuletti e I Montechi; Aida; and the Mikado miniature performed at Casta Diva’s Vissi d’Arte Theatre in Pretoria and at the Catalina Theatre in Durban, just to mention a few.
     Since 2010, Casta Diva Boutique Hotel has welcomed this young charismatic tenor into its fold. Ndzombane has hosted various solo performances and participated in many ensemble performances, entertaining Casta Diva’s patrons while they dined.

     Kagiso Boroko hails from Hammanskraal. At school, he showed a deep interest in choral music, joining both his school choir and the group Sweet Voice Masters. 
     As a member of Sweet Voice Masters, Boroko performed and participated in various events, competitions and performances. 
     In 2010, he joined The Black Tie Ensemble (BTE) Incubator Scheme. Over the next three years, he actively participated in various BTE productions, including Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors, Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi, Power of the Voice, Verdi – Opera Gala, A Spring Gala, One Voice – An African Celebration, A Christmas Concert and Carols by Candlelight. 
     Boroko went on to become a soloist for Gauteng Opera, where he has sung Gastone in La traviata, Hond in Tronkvoël, /A!kunta in Words from a Broken String and Politgray in Out of Time for Gauteng Opera’s CULA MZANSI season. He was selected for the BTE VO1SS: Forté and is currently an active artist with the Loveline Arts Foundation.
