Having established ourselves in Johannesburg and Cape Town over the past 50 years, it’s with great excitement that we have expanded our services and knowledge to the capital. We recently opened our doors at the Association of Arts, Pretoria, where our specialist focus will be on fine art and sculpture. Along with this new era for Stephan Welz & Co., we are also proud to announce that we have ventured into the realm of online auctioneering with our new online platform, which makes consignment and live auction bidding so much more user-friendly. This venture was brought on by popular demand and will also enable us to conduct more regular auctions and will be launched in September 2018.
The focus of our online platform is multi-pronged. It allows us to accommodate a collector who starts out as a ‘new buyer’ within the auction world, as well as being able to offer works that may not be suitable for our live auctions, thus increasing the service we are able to offer our clients. Clients will also be able to consign via the website, making bidding, buying, valuing and consigning possible from anywhere in the world.
In conjunction with the new platform, we are launching our Stephan Welz & Co. online application, which will be available for both Android and Apple users, everywhere.
The registration and subscription process has also become so much more accessible and readily available. It is now possible to sit with your phone and register to bid or subscribe to our mailing list at the click of a button. Gone are the days of needing to click through pages and pages in search of information.
