Crossroads will highlight Eric Clapton’s greatest hits from his early days in Cream to his solo career, a career that has spanned four decades.
Rhumbelow Theatre and Tina’s Hotel presents, a Black Lapel Productions, Crossroads with Rusty Red, Chris Melling & Skippy Kubheka. Durban ‘Bluesman’ Rusty Red is set to headline at the Rhumbelow Theatre this May with his debut offering: Crossroads, a tribute to Eric Clapton and Friends. Accompanied by his countrymen, Chris Melling on drums and lefty Skippy Kubheka on bass guitar, the trio will meet you at the crossroads and take you on a journey through a soundtrack driven by blues icons: Eric Clapton, John Mayer, Muddy Waters, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix and more. The show will highlight Eric Clapton’s greatest hits from his early days in Cream, The Yardbirds and as a solo artist, a career that has spanned more than four decades and has earned him a triple induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Eric Clapton drew inspiration from BB King, Jimi Hendrix and Muddy Waters, among other Blues legends, and in turn Clapton inspired modern Blues musicians including the likes of John Mayer. His influence and collaborations have earned him 18 GRAMMY Awards, of which our very own Blues craftsmen will showcase your favourites in this stellar performance. This not-to-be-missed show will transport you through the latest and the greatest hits including Before You Accuse Me, Lay Down Sally, Crossroads, Change The World, Pride and Joy, Little Wing, Wonderful tonight, Slow Dancing in a burning room and so many many more.
