Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat Returns

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat returns to Montecasino by HUGE demand from 10 November 2016 to 29 January 2017.

Pieter Toerien & The Really Useful Group present Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s sparkling family musical. 

Retelling the Biblical story of Joseph and his coat of many colours, this magical musical is packed full of unforgettable songs including ‘Any Dream Will Do’ and ‘Close Every Door To Me’.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat stars Earl Gregory as Joseph – the role that launched his career in 2004,when he was fresh out of Tshwane University of Technology. He has won the Naledi Award for Best Male Newcomer for the same role. Gregory has also starred in numerous shows, such as Joseph, JC Superstar, Cats and Sweeny Todd, among others.

Singing sensation, Nadine will star as the narrator. She has featured in JC Superstar as well. Musical Theatre fans will be delighted at the news that audience favourite, Jonathan Roxmouth will continue to work his magic as the Pharoah. Roxmouth’s features include Sweeny Todd, Phantom, Cats, Sunset BlvdJC Superstar, A Handful of KeysBeauty and the BeastCall Me Lee, Stage by StageJeeves & WoosterI’m Playing Your Song.

As in the 2004 production, the creative team will once again be headed by Director Paul Warwick Griffin. Charl-Johan Lingenfelder will provide Musical Supervision, while Musical Direction is by Louis Zurnamer. Choreography will be by Duane Alexander.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat features a stunning local cast of 23 of the best musical theatre performers and dancers, and promises to be “A Technicolour Triumph” for the whole family to enjoy! 

The production will run at Pieter Toerien’s Montecasino Theatre from 10 November 2016 to 29 January 2017.  

  • Wednesday – Friday at 8pm
  • Saturday at 2pm, 5pm & 8pm
  • Sunday at 2:30pm & 5:30pm
