Congratulations to Ayana V. Jackson, the recipient of the 2017 National Black Arts Festival’s (NBAF) Visual Artist Award

Gallery MOMO are thrilled to announce Ayana V. Jackson as the recipient of the 2017 National Black Arts Festival’s (NBAF) Visual Artist Award in the United States. Each year during the Fine Art and Fashion benefit, NBAF recognises two visual artists whose work has met the criteria as established by NBAF and its independent judges. Jackson was honored at the NBAF Benefit in Atlanta, Georgia and gave a talk with fellow recipient Paul Stephen Benjamin at the Arnika Dawkins Gallery.

Ayana will be exhibiting in the group show Transparency Shade: Seeing Through the Shadow at Projects + Gallery in St. Louis, USA opening on April 7, 2017 and will be opening her solo exhibition Intimate Justice / Stolen Moments with Gallery MOMO in Johannesburg opening on 13 July 2017.
