KZN Music Imbizo 2016 includes 4 More African Countries

Botswana, Namibia, Swaziland and Mozambique will be represented at the KZN Music Imbizo 2016, in Durban (South Africa), 25 – 27 August 2016.

The KZN Music Imbizo is a fast-growing international music business conference and exhibition that started in 2009. Initially positioned as a provincial platform for sharing knowledge and ideas about growing music entrepreneurs within the province, but has since grown to host established local and international speakers plus organisations.

The theme for KZN Music Imbizo 2016 is Africa, My Beginning … creating a sustaining music industry within the continent.

Over fifty delegates from Botswana have been confirmed through a partnership with Botswana International Music Conference (BIMC). The delegates will cover key industries within the music sector plus government. Botswana’s invasion of Durban will be solidified by also hosting a Botswana Night on Thursday 25 August – an evening dedicated to Botswana’s musicians.

Namibians Knowledge Ipinge (ViB Mobile) and Elia Nangola (Mushasho Records) are also on the bill for KZN Music Imbizo 2016. This icludes Team Namibia and Namibian Society of Composer and Authors of Music (NASCAM) are also on the bill for KZN Music Imbizo 2016. From Mozambique, the Imbizo will be hosting the creative and dynamic event producer and booking agent Jess White – who is also festival coordinator of the Azgo Festival. Jiggs Thorne will be representing the very popular Bush Fire Festival and Swaziland.
